Using an "export from Connected" to re-import to Google Contacts is kludgy at best, and painful/error-ridden at worst. An automatic sync is vital.

Often I call contacts. Allow me to manually update "Last Conversation" to make it true to life.

the reminders should automatically reset to 0 if the app records an interaction. the functionality should be 'remind me if I haven't contacted someone for over a week, etc' so if I call them, my reminder would rest to 0.

then allow the user to reset time manually. ie met in person requires a reset. you get the idea

Not every every email account is gmail or outlook! I'd really like to use this service with other email accounts.

Some people I no longer wish to connect with, some have passed on. An easy way to delete would be helpful.

I want Connected to automatically find out when I am not connected to important contacts via all of their social and professional networks and automatically suggest that I connect with them.

When looking at a contact profile, I'd like to 'scroll' through to the next contact without having to go all the way back to the full contact list.
Add a "Next Contact" and "Previous Contact" buttons.

Allow people to set manual time periods for keeping in touch. So if there are no recorded emails, tweets, phone calls, etc between the contact and USER then the user gets a reminder until they complete an interaction. Contacts should have different frequencies configurable by the user.

Look at email headers that do not have a RE: and then allow users to set up custom timelines (e.g. a week) to receive a notification to follow-up.

Allow "next steps" or a series of tasks to be attached to a contact.

Allow sorting of contacts by surname

Build a simple iPhone app that uses the public iPhone APIs to access call logs (see https://github.com/nst/spyphone/) and adds conversations if the numbers match.

Allow tags to be imported along with contact information...

I would like to have the skype address book and track conversation in Connected.

Etacts/Rapportive have a Google Chrome plugin which kept things fast and off the bookmarks bar. Cleaner experience.

Gist's approach is just OK, but it seems to work better than the current Connected sidebar. We need easy access (current window) to view contact info, add a new contact, update/edit a contact.

Connected would be a Super productivity center if it were Mac user friendly.
